Civil Engineering  |BSc| 3,5 years Full-time | English

Civil engineering is currently in the process of changes caused by the global development of modern digital tools supporting the design and construction of buildings. Creating digital twins and coordinating multi-discipline models allows you to achieve better quality of the designed facility and design documentation, avoiding misunderstandings, additional costs and wastage of resources during construction. Digital building models are becoming the information database in approaches such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC). The use of templates, process diagrams, common data environment (CDE), automation of repetitive activities, modern work methodologies (Integrated Project Delivery, Integrated Concurrent Engineering) allow to increase work effi ciency and job satisfaction. For this reason, engineers entering the labour market are expected not only to have skills related to managing information contained in digital models, but also to work with point clouds (obtained using laser scanners or drones), parametric modelling (sometimes also the use of programming languages, e.g., Python), working with devices using virtual or augmented reality (VR/AR) and various soft skills (extremely important in teamwork). The Bachelor of Digital Construction course specializing in BIM trains students who are passionate about building in the creation of digital models. This new approach makes it possible to improve and optimize building working methods to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Aft er completing these studies, the student positioned as BIM modeller, BIM coordinator, BIM manager, facility manager, will have all the necessary background to become an expert in his fi eld. Thanks to analytical skills, he can be proactive in identifying the best solutions while optimizing and securing working methods.

Chemical Engineering and Technology |BSc | 3,5 years| Full-time| English

Chemical engineering involves production and manufacturing of products in chemical processes, including: design of equipment, systems and processes for the refi ning raw materials, mixing, compounding and processing of chemicals, to provide valuable products. The aim of chemical engineering is to maximise productivity and product quality while minimising the production costs. Chemical engineering plays a major role in achieving sustainable development goals through modifi cation of current chemical processes using “green” approaches and development of new technology for energy, environment and health applications. The fi rst-degree study is focused on: sustainable chemical technology (green chemical technologies eliminate waste, improve production safety and its economics) or on engineering of polymeric materials (polymers are ideal for all types of engineering applications to replace traditional materials with much simpler for manufacturing while maintaining their desired properties). Graduates of Chemical Engineering and Technology have extensive knowledge in the fi eld of complex chemical processes, including: selection of appropriate materials, equipment and devices necessary for accomplishment of those processes. Moreover, graduates have in-depth knowledge necessary for modelling, planning, designing, optimisation and characterisation of chemical processes. They have the ability to assess the technological suitability of raw materials and the selection of the technological process in relation to the quality requirements of the product. Strengths of education at the Faculty of Chemistry are: high level of research and teaching staff , well-equipped technological laboratories, and very good cooperation with employers.

Clean Energy |MSc| 1,5 years| Full-time | English

Education in this branch of study provides the knowledge necessary to solve problems concerning the utilization and transformation of various types of energy. Student understands the processes of energy conversion in biosphere and has a knowledge of acquiring various forms of energy from environment and their conversion to the effective types of energy. As far as Clean Energy field of study is concerned, particular attention was paid on following issues: acquire and conversion of renewable energy sources, highly effective and environmentally friendly energy technologies, energy conservation and rationalization of its use, as well as methods of short- and long-term energy storage. Also particular emphasis was put on hydrogen as an universal energy carrier and storage. In addition, the abilities of calculation which allow the description of conversion and transport of mechanical and thermal energy, are developed, as well as the knowledge and skills related to organization and implementation of transport processes, which include renewable energy sources.
