Head of Department of International Cooperation Ewa Kaczan-Winiarska and Joanna Ruszel took part in the monitoring visit and Fifth International Week at the University of Ruse in Bulgaria from 14th to 18th May.

The meeting, attended by several dozen representatives from several European universities, was opened by the Rector of the University of Ruse, prof. Hristo Ivanova Beloeva. During the deliberations, representatives of the Rzeszow University of Technology presented multimedia presentations - promoting our University and informing about student and scientific exchange programs implemented by the International Cooperation Department. From the host's side, Prof. Juliana Popova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and at the same time the Erasmus + University Coordinator led the meeting. All participants of the International Week received diplomas at the hands of Prof. Juliana Popova and Prof. Diana Antonova, Vice-Rector for Research.

The hosts also organized meetings devoted to the so-called "Good practices". During the discussion, the participants could share different experiences and problems related to the implementation of not only the Erasmus + Program but also with the activities undertaken as part of efforts to increase internationalization in their own Universities. Different approaches to challenges related to the implementation of tasks under the Erasmus + Program were also presented, as well as an increase in the number of participants - beneficiaries of EU programs. The participants share their experiences, impressions and worked out methods of work, and present specific realizations or achievements related to participation in various EU programs. The observance of the principles of equality and respect, tolerance towards all beneficiaries and participants of the program were pointed out. The intercultural shared meal presented cultural diversity in the culinary sphere for which provided meals were from both the Bulgarian cuisine and from the countries of the meeting participants. Guests also had the opportunity to learn about the University's infrastructure, visit the campus to learn about the conditions in which students learn and live. They also visited university laboratories. We warmly thank the organizers for reliable and professional preparation of the event and a friendly and cordial atmosphere during meetings, discussions, and conversations. We warmly invite students and employees to go to our partner university in Ruse to study, lecture or participate in the training.
