From 2nd to 6th of July 2018, the head of the Department of International Cooperation, Ewa Kaczan-Winiarska together with the department employee - Monika Mistur-Góral, had a monitoring visit at the University of Economics (UE) in Bratislava. The Rzeszow University of Technology has been cooperating with the University of Economics in Bratislava since 2008 under the Erasmus + Programme. The cooperation was at first under the Lifelong Learning Program, which was renamed Erasmus + in 2014. Mrs. Andrea SZABOVA, the University Erasmus + coordinator, was responsible for preparing meetings with Partners on the Slovakian side. During the stay at the partner university in Bratislava, employees of the Rzeszow University of Technology held meetings, among others with the coordinator of outgoing students, the coordinator for incoming students and the deputy head of the Department of International Exchange - Miroslav DARNADIOVÁ. The visit to the partner university was an opportunity to see university facilities and familiarize students with the conditions of studying and living in Bratislava. The Rzeszow University of Technology employees visited, among others Erasmus + office, university library, individual faculties, student canteen, and dormitory. During the talks related to the implementation of mobility in both Universities under the Erasmus + Programme, comments and experiences were exchanged, and attention was drawn to some common problems accompanying the implementation of projects. New challenges and the necessity to follow the students' needs during the implementation of mobility were addressed, and the topic of effective tools aimed at improving cooperation within the framework of the concluded "Erasmus" contracts was discussed.  The University of Bratislava is one of the largest and most significant educational institutions in Slovakia, the leading university in the field of economic sciences. The university consists of 7 faculties and educates about 7,000 students. Among the many aspects that may encourage our students to study in the EU, it is undoubtedly worth mentioning the attractions of the capital of Slovakia, including the charming old town, but also the ease of establishing contacts with Slovakian students due to the similarity of cultures as well as the relatively short distance of Bratislava to other centres of culture and science like the capital of Austria (75 km from Bratislava). The journey from Bratislava to Vienna is an inexpensive and not time-consuming escapade. Unfortunately, the University of Bratislava does not provide places in the dormitory for Erasmus students. Students are offered accommodation in accommodation units, detailed information on this matter can be found at http://studentresidence.sk/en/.
