Ms Monika Stanisz from the Department for International Cooperation paid a visit to Erasmus+ partner Georgian Technical University (GTU) under Staff Mobility for Training action during which she had also an opportunity to attend an international conference.
From 15th till 19th October planned meetings with the university representatives allowed for setting the timeline of planned 6 mobilities with GTU in the academic year 2018/19 and discuss recruitment issues. The content of the document The Erasmus+ regulations was agreed on with The Deputy Head of International Relations and Standards Office Ms Nino Zhizhilashvili. The document that accompanies our Inter-Institutional Agreement includes rules and procedures governing proper implementation of Erasmus+ mobilities and in the end it was signed by prof. Otar Zumburidze, the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator.
Ms Monika Stanisz attended also the international conference that was a joint venture of GTU and Italian University of Foggia. It was one-off a kind opportunity to establish new contacts and hopefully future partnerships with the universities from Italy, Turkey, Portugal and the Romanian Academy.
Moreover, the stay in Tbilisi allowed for meeting the representatives of the second partner in the project - Tibilisi State University (TSU). During the meeting Ani Chelishvili, coordinator of Erasmus mobilities stressed the importance of the programme for her institution which sends abroad approximately 200 students and hosts 60 students yearly.
Prolonging the Erasmus+ project Action 1 Mobilities with partner counties for the academic year 2018/19 makes possible to realize 19 inbound and outbound exchanges with the universities from Brazil, Georgia and Ukraine.
