every semester we welcomed a new group of Erasmus students who came to study in the winter semester of the academic year 2023/24 in large. A total of 71 students from European Union countries, Central Asia and Latin America have started classes at the Rzeszów University of Technology.
The scope of the academic exchange
The Department of International Cooperation is constantly acquiring new partner universities both in the European Union and outside of it. The "free mover" path launched last semester is becoming more and more popular among students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mexico. Last semester 6 students from the Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sport, Turan University and Karshi Engineering Economics Institute completed their studies at RUT. In the current semester the number of students from universities located outside the EU has increased to 14. We are glad that an interest in academic exchange at the Rzeszów University of Technology is constantly growing.
Welcome Day
The students were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, prof. Grzegorz Ostasz, head of the Department of International Cooperation, Edyta Ptaszek, M.A., and Monika Stanisz, M.A., Erasmus coordinator of incoming students. Erasmus students received all the necessary information regarding the organization of education, accommodation and contact with faculty coordinators. Thanks to the courtesy of the Rzeszów City Hall the exchange students had the opportunity to meet Ms Krystyna Stachowska, Deputy Mayor of Rzeszów, and ask questions about the city's tourist and entertainment offer. As a part of the Welcome Day students were encouraged to go to the trampoline park which as an integration event was free of charge for all exchange students.
