On 8th of June, Erasmus + students from Universidade da Beira Interior, Portugal had the opportunity to taste flight at first hand!
Barbara Martins, Emanuel Castanho, Filipa Pereira, Laura Martins and Pedro Nunes, who are currently pursuing MSc in Aeronautical Engineering, flew on a glider for the first time at the University Gliding Centre in Bezmiechowa. By invitation of Professor Tomasz Rogalski and the organization of the Foreign Office by Monika Stanisz, this students and Miss Joanna Ruszel, in representation of the Foreign Office, visited the gliding centre and had the opportunity to fly over the Polish Skies. Everyone enjoyed the experience and for some, the flight was even softer than flying on an airliner! Thermals enabled smooth flights and some pictures were taken. Being an activity not easy to accomplish in Portugal, the students are grateful for this wonderful experience and for the invitation. Obrigado!”
