October at Rzeszów University of Technology (PRz) is traditionally a time for special gatherings of the intyernational community. We have just held an International Day aiming at integrating international students into the academic environment and promoting the Erasmus programme among PRz’s own students.
During the winter semester of the 2026/27 academic year, we are hosting almost 130 students coming to PRz under the Erasmus programme or as Free Movers, from Spain, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Italy, Portugal, France, Uzbekistan, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, and Georgia.
The gathering held in the lobby of the main university building, was opened by Bartosz Miller, BEng, PhD, DSc, Associate Prof. and Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Student Affairs, alongside with Monika Stanisz, MA, the Erasmus programme coordinator for incoming students.
The students showcased their home countries, prepared traditional national dishes and snacks, and, in collaboration with the International Department of Cooperation, curated a musical backdrop featuring songs characteristic of their respective cultures. Sounds from across the globe encouraged everyone to join in the fun and dancing. The event served as an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, discover new cultures, and forge friendships.
The gathering also brought together rPRz students who have already participated in international academic exchanges, as well as those currently planning to embark on their own study-abroad experiencesa. Attendees had the chance to learn more about partner universities and gain practical insights into what it is like to study abroad.
