Another visit organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology under the STA program of the Erasmus + KA107 programme was held on 25 - 29 September, 2017. PhD Eng Roman Wdowik from the Department of Manufacturing Techniques and Automation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics paid a visit to the Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi. As part of the visit, lectures and meetings were held with the participation of students and staff of the partner university. PhD. Roman Wdowik met i.a. with the Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Mechanical Engineering Prof. Otarem Gelashvili, PhD. Boris Gitolendia and other staff of the Faculty. Topics of lectures and meetings concerned manufacturing techniques, education programs at the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology and possibilities for broadening cooperation within the Erasmus + programme.
Participating in programs such as Erasmus + brings measurable benefits to employees and universities. The methods of developing and presenting in a foreign language (i.e. English) may be improved. New contacts are established with the staff of the partner university. It is also possible to get acquainted with the functioning of the academic environment of a foreign university, laboratory equipment, university structures, habits, etc. Extending the scope of academic exchange enables the establishment of relations between universities and the organization of joint research and teaching undertakings- claims Roman Wdowik, PhD., Eng.
Participant of the Erasmus + KA107 programme from Georgia will be coming to our University soon.
